Meghan Barp, ’06, is on a mission to break barriers — for herself and her community in the Upstate of South Carolina.
As president and CEO of United Way of Greenville County, she’s the first woman to lead the organization in its nearly 100-year history. Meghan partners with civic, business, and non-profit leaders to help build pathways from poverty to lasting prosperity for more than 50,000 people and played a pivotal role organizing her community’s COVID-19 response. She recently co-founded the Race Equity and Economic Mobility Commission to address disparities that negatively impact the Black community in the Upstate.
On Jan. 27, join the OSU Changemakers webcast series hosted by CLA Professor Susan Shaw, and learn why Barp has been recognized as one of Minnesota Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” and one of Greenville Business Magazine’s “50 Most Influential.”
