Want to find out more about the Peace Corps? It’s never too early to find out about the requirements for application as well as the benefits of service, says Scot Roskelley, OSU’s Peace Corps recruiter. He says talking to someone early on during their college career can help because there are things individuals can do that will make them more competitive when they apply at the beginning of their fourth year. Roskelley is conducting an info session on Wednesday, October 23, at 6 p.m. in Strand 260. Peace Corps service is a 27-month commitment. Positions are available in agriculture, environmental science, education, business, public health, and community/youth development. Benefits include enhanced employment eligibility for federal government jobs following service and money for grad school. Can’t make the meeting? Email him for an appointment while he’s on campus: firstname.lastname@example.org. Visit the Peace Corps website at peacecorps.gov.
