Product Design Contest

The Product Design Contest is a weeklong competition in collaboration with InnovationX where students will work in teams to ideate a product that tackles a problem that falls under one of three categories: Sustainability, Health, Joy of Living and Security. In the end, students will create pitch decks and pitch their products for monetary prizes! The first prize is $500, the second prize is $300, and the third prize is $200. Each prize is distributed evenly among the team.
 
When RSVP’ing, students can indicate if they would like to register with a team or if they would like us to assign them to a team. While students can work alone, working in a team is highly encouraged. InnovationX will be having studio hours throughout the week to help students with their pitch decks and pitches. For their pitch, students will create a pitch deck (no more than 20 slides) that explains their product, target audience, plans to generate revenue, and how it solves a pressing problem that falls under one of the three subcategories. There will be a COB/COE mixer earlier in the week on Monday from 6-8pm in Linc200 to kick off the event!
