PSA Train-the-Trainer meets regulatory requirements in the FDA's (FSMA) Produce Safety Rule and allows participants to become a PSA Trainer.
Who should attend?
Produce safety educators, farmers, food safety consultants and others who work with fruit and vegetable growers interested in becoming PSA Trainers or PSA Lead Trainers. Those who attend will become a PSA Trainer, and are able to offer the PSA standardized curriculum to train fresh produce growers under the supervision of a PSA Lead Trainer. This training meets the regulatory requirements in the FDA's Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) Produce Safety Rule.
The course fee is $450. Registration includes the PSA educational materials for trainers (including v1.2 of the PSA Grower Training manual), two lunches, refreshments, and a certificate of course attendance issued by AFDO. Participation for the entire 2 days is required for the certificate.
Registration is limited to the first 30 registrants. A minimum of 15 participants is required for the training to be held.
