Kristina Drzaic, Artist in Residence
Oregon State University

Video game narrative design is the process of creating the means and methodology of how a game story is told. Every game story has to be designed with the actions and motivations of the videogame player in mind. In this talk we will explore the design process for creating videogame stories, how to motivate interactions between game characters and human players, and how these interactive designs can be applied to robot storytelling.

Kristina Drzaic is an award-winning video game designer best known for her narrative design on Halo 5, and the BioShock series. Her work can be best characterized as motivating video game players to engage with the game story through the use of sophisticated secondary character AI, compelling plots and environmental storytelling. She is presently exploring interactive robot storytelling at Oregon State University.
