The current status of honey bee health and sustainable beekeeping

Speaker: Ramesh Sagili, Associate Professor, College of Agricultural Sciences

To promote sustainable apiculture and pollination, Professor Sagili’s research program focuses on three prime areas: Honey bee health, honey bee nutrition and honey bee pollination. As head of OSU’s apiculture program, his research addresses questions to improve honey bee health and pollination. Most of the program’s research projects are collaborative efforts that involve commercial and backyard beekeepers, growers and the general public interested
in bees.
