About this Event
2701 SW Campus Way, Corvallis, OR 97331
Explore scientific illustration with Hatfield’s former Artist in Residence, Emy Daniels. Open to all artistic levels, this two-hour workshop includes basic drawing and perspective techniques, followed by a drawing-from-life session with preserved specimens. Tools and techniques will help you create 3-dimensional, realistic illustrations and take your drawing skills to the next level. Applying these lessons to your own field journal practice will enhance your observational skills, leading to a better understanding of nature and your field of expertise.
This workshop is open to everyone, and will be offered in person at Cordley Hall, where supplies will be provided. In addition, the first hour will be broadcast via Zoom, so folks can log on from any location. Because this workshop has a capacity constraint related to space and supplies, we’re asking folks to sign up in advance by March 3.
