Join us for our annual Southern Oregon wine grape field day on Tuesday, July 23rd, 2019. This year we’ll be focusing on new vineyard development as we visit a few sites that have recently been developed, redeveloped, and/or are under development. Discussions will focus on how to set up vineyards for alternative management systems (e.g. organic/biodynamic) and using different rootstocks/cultivars to address potential management problems down the road. In addition, we’ll be visiting four new vineyard blocks at SOREC that will become the cornerstones of the pathology/entomology/viticulture research programs in the future. After lunch, we will have a special seminar showcasing new research from Northern California on the effects of wildfire on fruit quality. The morning/day event is sponsored by the Rogue Valley Winegrowers Association and is free of charge!
The Rogue Valley Winegrowers Association also invites you to join them in the evening (5-8 pm) for their annual BBQ hosted by Dunbar Farms/Rocky Knoll Vineyard. Registration is $15/person and is requested by Friday, July 19th, 2019. Registration link: http://rvwinegrowers.org/?page_id=17
