The OSU University Health & Safety Committee is presenting a free weekly safety seminar series to OSU faculty, staff, and students during Spring Term beginning Tuesday, April 7. We will meet every Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Cascade Hall Rm 136 to present various safety topics. Check out the schedule below for the topics being offered. Trainings will last 1-3 hours depending on the topic. On Monday, June 15, we will present all topics covered so that field work crews heading out for the summer can be able to attend these training opportunities. No registration required - just show up and be ready to learn about safety!

We will be raffling off prizes during finals week. When you attend a training, you will receive one entry into the raffle. Attend more trainings and you will have more opportunities to win!

4/7: EpiPen Training (2-3 p.m.) / Narcan Training (3-4 p.m.)

4/14: Motor Pool demonstration on changing tires & extraction techniques (2-5 p.m.)

4/21: Stop the Bleed training (2-3 p.m.)

4/28: Fire extinguisher training/Fire prevention in the woods (2-4 p.m.)

5/5: Safety in Motion Ergonomics Training (2-3 p.m.)

5/12: De-escalation Training (2-3 p.m.)

5/19: EpiPen Training (2-3 p.m.) / Narcan Training (3-4 p.m.)

5/26: No training due to Memorial Day Weekend

6/2: Motor Pool demonstration on changing tires & extraction techniques (2-5 p.m.)

6/9: Prize Drawings  (not in person, winners will be contacted separately and posted here)

8:30 a.m. - EpiPen Training (earn certification card)

11 a.m. - Safety in Motion Ergonomic Training

Noon-1 p.m.: LUNCH BREAK

1:45 p.m. - Fire prevention/Fire extinguisher lecture

2:30 p.m. - Motorpool lecture on tire changing and extraction techniques

2:45 p.m. - Hands on training for fire prevention, fire extiguisher use, and Motorpool tire changing and extraction techniques
