During this program students will experience a variety of eco-municipalities, universities, and infrastructure projects to explore the concept of sustainable development through the policies and culture of Scandinavia, a region leading the world in sustainability solutions. Students will explore and evaluate a variety of sustainability efforts, such as eco-municipalities, regenerative agriculture systems, and offshore wind energy. The itinerary includes exploring three (3) regions (Copenhagen/Malmo, Karlskrona, and Stockholm) where students will engage in field trips to innovative infrastructure projects and tours of eco-municipalities. With university partners, students will learn about research and innovative sustainable policies and practices in each region. Sustainable Sweden, Host Partner, will connect us to local experts as well as contribute to the design of a low impact tour.
