Join Spring Creek Project for an event in PRAx’s Toomey Lobby featuring award-winning author Joe Wilkins as he shares his new novel, “The Entire Sky.”
In this poignant story set in rural Montana, you'll meet a troubled boy on the run, an aging rancher, and a woman at a crossroads who all find unexpected solace and kinship in the family they make. With its lyricism, tangible evocation of place, and piercing insight reminiscent of the novels of Barbara Kingsolver and Kent Haruf, “The Entire Sky” is an unforgettable piece of modern, American fiction.
Joe Wilkins is also the author of the novel “Fall Back Down When I Die,” which has garnered wide critical acclaim. His previous work also includes a memoir, “The Mountain and the Fathers,” and four previous collections of poetry, including “When We Were Birds,” winner of the Oregon Book Award. Born and raised on a sheep and hay ranch in eastern Montana, Wilkins lives with his family in the foothills of the Coast Range of Oregon, where he directs the creative writing program at Linfield University.
This event is free and open to everyone. Grass Roots Books will have copies of Joe's titles available at the event. Book signing to follow presentation.
