Come join us to celebrate the restored historic vessel Western Flyer, the vessel that John Steinback and Ed Ricketts took to the Sea of Cortez and from which "The Log from the Sea of Cortez" was written. The evening will being with light snacks and beverages, a short film narrated by Nick Offereman, and remarks by Western Flyer Fouindation Executive Director Sherry Flumerfelt. A panel of scientists and fishermen will discuss fisheries and cooperative research, especially in light of the Western Flyer's new role as an education, reseach and outreach vessel.
