Oregon State University Theatre’s 2018-2019 Season: Literature Comes to Life continues with a family-friendly adaptation of The Little Prince. This charming tale by Antoine de Saint-Exupery and adapted for the stage by Rick Cummins and John Scoullar runs on the Withycombe Hall Main Stage March 2-3 and 9-10 at 2:00 pm and March 1 & 8 at 7:30 pm. Withycombe Hall is located at 30th and Campus Way on the Corvallis Campus.

This beloved tale sparks the imagination when an unlikely friendship blooms between a stranded pilot and a mysterious Little Prince visiting Earth from a distant and magical planet. Director and OSU Theatre alum, Jen Waters, has added a colorful twist to the familiar story setting the characters and music amidst the sparkle and glam-rock aesthetic of the 1970s. “The Little Prince is such a strange and wonderful story about the transition from childhood to adulthood, that is often masked in whimsy. My cast and crew and I want to show a new version.”

Waters leads an energetic cast of OSU students including Leah Kahn as the Little Prince and Adam Keenan as The Aviator and the ensemble includes Molly Duddleson, Joshua Gasaway, Genesis Hansen, Emily Jackson, Emily Moehn, Nicole Moussa, Taylor Stageberg, Amy Stein, and Alex “Kiwi” Sturgeon.

Tickets are $12 General Admission, $10 Senior, $8 Youth/Student, and $5 OSU Student and are available through the OSU Theatre Box Office by calling 541-737-2784. Contact the box office for DAS accommodations and/or group ticket sales.
