The Open Streets Classroom: A University-Community Partnership for the Public Good

In this forum, faculty and students will join members of the Corvallis wider community to create community-university collaborations in the context of Open Streets Corvallis. Tangible projects, actions, and volunteer/internship opportunities will come from this event. Participants will be working in small teams around the following topics: health, neighborhood engagement, engineering and design, inclusion and representation, public literacy/civic discourse, and sustainability.

The keynote will be given by Dr. Adonia Lugo from Antioch University. Dr. Lugo is an anthropologist and national leader in the field of mobility justice. You may learn about Dr. Lugo here: http://www.urbanadonia.com

Please join us at this important event and help build a strong community-university partnership for the public good. For more information, please visit the event website: https://openstreetscorvallis.org. For questions, please write to Ricardo Contreras at contrerr@oregonstate.edu
