Oregon State University Theatre’s 2018-2019 Season: Literature Comes to Life begins with The Passion of Dracula by David Richmond and Bob Hall. This inventive adaptation of Bram Stoker’s Gothic tale will run on the Withycombe Hall Main Stage November 8-10 and 16-17 at 7:30 pm and November 18 at 2:00 pm. Withycombe Hall is located at 30th and Campus Way on the Oregon State University Corvallis Campus.

Set in 1911 in the English countryside, a new resident by the name of Count Dracula appears and suddenly strange disappearances and mysterious murders haunt the once-peaceful community. Is this all a coincidence or is there more to this enigmatic figure than meets the eye? Director Nathan Bush’s production embraces the humor and the terror of the familiar characters of Renfield, Jonathan Harker, and the eponymous Count. “The audience will experience a funny, sometimes silly battle between good and evil rooted in vampire magic pitted against the will of a group of characters to survive.” This spooky and entertaining night at the theatre is perfect for fall!
