Want to add an official “Research Fellow” notation on your transcript, gain real conference experience, build your public speaking skills, and join lively discussions with fellow students and humanities faculty?

The College of Liberal Arts, School of History, Philosophy, and Religion, and the School of Writing, Literature, and Film invite all undergraduate students to submit proposals for the Undergraduate Humanities Conference on Friday, May 8, 2026. The event will be held in the Journey Room at the Memorial Union, with a Zoom option available for Ecampus student presenters. This day-long, student-centered conference is your chance to present original humanities scholarship in a welcoming and supportive academic setting.

Any current OSU undergraduate who has completed original work in a humanities course is encouraged to apply. Please submit your paper title and an abstract of no more than 250 words—briefly describing your topic, main argument, and its broader significance—to Monique McDade by April 15, 2026.

For accommodations related to ability, email Marisa Chappell.
