Keynote Session via Zoom Webinar - RSVP today!
We are very pleased to welcome Dr. Freeman Hrabowski as this year’s University Day keynote speaker. Dr. Hrabowksi’s address begins at 10 a.m. and will be provided as a Zoom webinar. His keynote will be followed by a panel discussion on the future of higher education that will end at 11:30 a.m. Registration is required.
The day will serve as a launch to the academic year and will be complete with a powerful keynote address, meaningful discussion, numerous inspiring and informative activities, and honors recognizing amazing staff and faculty achievements. Dr. Hrabowski has served as president of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County since 1992. He is a distinguished educator, higher education leader and consultant on science and math education to national agencies, universities and school systems. In 2012, he was named by President Obama to chair the President’s Advisory Commission on Educational Excellence for African Americans. He also chaired the National Academies’ committee that produced the 2011 report, “Expanding Underrepresented Minority Participation: America’s Science and Technology Talent at the Crossroads.
