About this Event

https://health.oregonstate.edu/research/seminars/2024-11-08The West Coast was slower than the rest of the US to see a rise in fentanyl-related overdose deaths, which have risen precipitously over the past seven years. However, in the past 6 months, these numbers have declined. In his presentation Dr. Bruno will explore factors that have contributed to this rise and decline: from upstream primary prevention interventions, to midstream harm reduction, to downstream overdose reversal efforts. These public health policies have helped people in their recovery or helped them avoid falling in the river of addiction in the first place.
