Drs. Achala KC and Luisa Santamaria are hosting a bilingual field day for vineyard workers on Tuesday, August 13, 2019, at SOREC. The program is designed to train the workers, supervisors, and managers on timely monitoring and sampling for vineyard pests and diseases; identification methods; and other viticulture practices. Luisa Santamaria, OSU Extension Specialist and Bilingual Educator will join us for educating our workforce.
The crew will have plenty of opportunities to discuss vineyard management during this seven-hour program (8 am – 3 pm). We will visit two Rogue Valley vineyards in the morning. After lunch, the crew will enjoy the lab session with hands-on training and discussion on samples collected in the morning. Registration is required for this event.
Early registration $20/person by August 5, $30 after.
Registration closes August 9.
