Hanif Abdurraqib will give a live, remote public reading as part of the School of Writing, Literature and Film's M.F. A. in Creative Writing Visiting Writers Series.
Abdurraqib is a poet, essayist and cultural critic from Columbus, Ohio. His poetry has been published in Muzzle, Vinyl, PEN American, and various other journals. His essays and music criticism have been published in The FADER, Pitchfork, The New Yorker, and The New York Times. He has authored five books of poetry and non-fiction. His most recent are "A Little Devil in America: In Praise of Black Performance" and "A Fortune for Your Disaster."
The reading is presented by the School of Writing, Literature and Film in the College of Liberal Arts, with support from Kathy Brisker and Tim Steele.
