Katy’s exemplary career in state government included more than 37.5 years upon her retirement in October of 2022. Even in retirement, she continues to serve as a member of the Board of Commissioners for the Port of Portland, as an independent board member on Rubicon Investments and as an Oregon State University delegate to the Council for Agricultural Research, Extension and Teaching.

Katy served as the Chief Operating Officer and Director of the Department of Administrative Services for 6 years after being appointed by Governor Kate Brown in August 2016. Prior to this, Katy served as the Director of the Oregon Department of Agriculture (ODA) for 13.5 years. She was the first female director for ODA in Oregon and is the longest-serving ODA director in Oregon’s history. Katy will share her valuable experiences as a seasoned executive during this event.
