DESCRIPTION:World’s Children is a hands-on\, grassroots charity\, and has b
een helping orphans and vulnerable children since it was established in 196
 5. Their mission and goals are to provide support to men\, women and childr
en in India\, Guatemala and Ethiopia\, and provide a way for them to live t
heir lives to their fullest potential through education. Over the past year
and a half\, the world has been through the greatest crisis most of us hav
e seen in our lifetimes\, which includes the children in the 32 orphanages
supported by World’s Children. This pandemic has exposed many special needs
for many of the orphanages\, particularly when it comes to sanitation\, fo
od availability and reliable transportation\, and as the pandemic recedes o
ur next campaign is “Comfort after Crisis” as the children are returning ba
ck to the orphanages and starting school again. \n\nLindsay Fox is an MPH g
raduate of Oregon State University and recently joined the team at World’s
Children in June 2021. She spent a big portion of her life living in Southe
ast Asia\, Africa and Central America providing humanitarian services to ch
ildren and communities in need\, and has a deep passion and drive for servi
ng underserved and vulnerable children. Before her time at World’s Children
\, Lindsay was the development coordinator for The Free Medical Clinic of G
reater Cleveland where she worked closely with the chief philanthropy offic
er and executive director providing support in fundraising\, donor relation
s\, and event planning. In addition\, she was an HPAC specialist for Americ
orps in which she supported urban and rural youth in career development to
increase affinity for careers in the healthcare industry. Outside of World’
s Children\, Lindsay is a part time piano teacher and loves to enjoy the ou
tdoors and the beauty that the town of Sisters has to offer. You will most
likely find her biking\, kayaking or hiking with her dog on any one of the
trails in the surrounding area during her free time.
