Please join us for the upcoming Water Resources Science Seminar. Dr. Julia Jones, Oregon State University, Geography, College of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences will present “Forests and Water in Chile: Commonalities and Contrasts with the Pacific Northwest” on Wednesday, April 3, from 4 to 5 p.m. in BEXL 328.
About Dr. Jones:
Dr. Julia A. Jones is a Professor of Geography in the College of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences here at Oregon State University. She is also the associate director of the Water Resources Science Graduate Program. Dr. Jones received a BA in economic development from Hampshire College, a MA in International Relations from Johns Hopkins School for Advanced International Studies, and a Ph.D. in Geography/Environmental Engineering for The Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Jones has research interests in land use, climate change and disturbance effects on hydrology, geomorphology, and water quality; and specializes in spatio-temporal statistics, forest hydrology, landscape ecology, surface processes, and biogeography.
The seminar is free and open to the public.
