Please join us for the upcoming Water Resources Science Seminar. Dr. Allen Gellis, USGS, Baltimore will present “Space, Time, and Sediment” on Wednesday, May 15, from 4 to 5 p.m. in BEXL 328.
About Dr. Gellis:
Allen Gellis is a research geomorphologist with the U.S Geological Survey He received his Ph.D in geology from Colorado State University. Allen has spent his career studying sediment as it relates to land use and climate. He has worked in a variety of geomorphic settings including Puerto Rico, the Southwest, the Midwest, and the Mid-Atlantic. His research is focused on using geochemical “fingerprints” to determine sources and ages of fluvial sediment.
The seminar is free and open to the public.
